Dog Parks
OpenIt would be great to have a large dog park located in our town. It would keep our local parks cleaner and safer for our families that use the parks.
Pedestrian Safety
OpenImprove pedestrian safety along Granite Street and Washington Street by funding updated crosswalk signals, adding pedestrian-activated beacons, and evaluating high-traffic intersections for speed-calming measures. These areas see heavy daily traffic and frequent pedestrian use, including students and seniors. Outdated signals and limited visibility create safety risks that residents have raised concerns about for years. Modernizing these crossing would reduce accidents, support walkability, and improve overall community wellbeing.
Cleaning and Greening our Community
OpenWe need metrics for gauging our progress on cleaning up the Fore River Basin. We would need to authorize funding (or apply for it) to determine a baseline, develop milestones, and begin the work. Companies have dumped waste into the Fore River for years. Sewage overflows are directed into this water, and years of run-off, along with gas and oil tankers off-loading, have all contributed to the pollution. The cumulative effect is harming the air and water quality and reducing biodiversity along the shorelines of all neighboring towns.
