Cleaning and Greening our Community

We need metrics for gauging our progress on cleaning up the Fore River Basin. We would need to authorize funding (or apply for it) to determine a baseline, develop milestones, and begin the work.

Why it matters:
Companies have dumped waste into the Fore River for years. Sewage overflows are directed into this water, and years of run-off, along with gas and oil tankers off-loading, have all contributed to the pollution. The cumulative effect is harming the air and water quality and reducing biodiversity along the shorelines of all neighboring towns.
